Our Quality Commitment
At Yo Makhana, quality isn’t just a department; it’s a promise. We believe that a healthy snack is only as good as the care taken to produce it. From the moment a seed is harvested to the second you pop a puff in your mouth, we follow a rigorous 5-Step Quality Protocol.
Handpicked Origin (Mithila Sourcing)
We source our raw Gorgon nuts directly from the farmers of the Mithila region. By cutting out middlemen, we ensure that only the Grade-A, largest-sized seeds are selected for roasting.
Traditional Roasting, Modern Precision
Our Makhanas are roasted using a blend of traditional heat-transfer methods and modern machinery. This ensures the perfect "crunch" without compromising the nutritional integrity of the fox nut.
No Trans Fats :
We use minimal, heart-healthy oils (or olive oil
options) for our flavored range.
Non-Fried :
Our puffs are always roasted, never fried.
Systematic Grading & Sorting
Not every Makhana makes the cut. We use automated and manual sorting to remove:
- Small or underdeveloped seeds.
- Hard black shells (seed coats).
- Discolored pieces.
- Result: You only get consistent, jumbo-sized white puffs in every pack.
Flavour Integrity & Purity
We use premium, natural spices to create our signature flavors.
No MSG :
We avoid harmful flavor enhancers.
Lead & Heavy Metal Testing :
Every batch undergoes laboratory testing to
ensure it
meets food safety
standards (FSSAI) and is free from environmental contaminants.
Advanced Freshness Barrier (Packaging)
To prevent the Makhana from becoming soggy (a common issue with fox nuts), we use:
Multi-layer Foil Packaging :
Protects against moisture and UV light.
Nitrogen Flushing :
Ensures the snacks stay crisp and oxidation-free
without the need for
chemical preservatives.
